Without undermining the importance of consulting specialized and certified doctors, dietitians, nutritionists, which we believe serves & plays an integral role in in properly regulating the health & wellness of the people at a community, land, country.

💡 [ لا يَبِعْ فِي سُوقِنَا إِلاَّ مَنْ قَدْ تَفَقَّهَ فِي الدِّين ]
قال محمد بن عيسى الترمذيّ (ت: 279 هـ) :
487 - حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَظِيمِ العَنْبَرِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنِ العَلاَءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ:
قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الخَطَّابِ: 
"لاَ يَبِعْ فِي سُوقِنَا إِلاَّ مَنْ قَدْ تَفَقَّهَ فِي الدِّينِ".

💡 قال الشيخ أحمد شاكر (ت: 1377 هـ) رحمه الله معلقًا على هذا الأثر في جامع الترمذي (357/2):
(نعم، حتى يعرف ما يأخذ وما يدع،
وحتى يعرف الحلال والحرام، ولا يفسد على الناس بيعهم وشراءهم بالأباطيل والأكاذيب،
وحتى لا يدخل الربا عليهم من أبواب قد لا يعرفها المشتري،
وبالجملة: لتكون التجارة تجارة إسلامية صحيحة خالصة،
يطمئن إليها المسلم وغير المسلم، لا غشٌ فيها ولا خداع).

💡 ["No one should sell in our market except someone who has gained knowledge (the basic related knowledge & understanding) in religion."]

Muhammad ibn 'Isa al-Tirmidhi (d. 279 AH) said:
487 - Narrated to us by Abbas ibn Abd al-Azim al-Anbari, who said: Narrated to us by Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi, from Malik ibn Anas, from al-Ala ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Yaqub, from his father, from his grandfather, who said:
Umar ibn al-Khattab said:
**"No one should sell in our market except someone who has gained knowledge (the basic related knowledge & understanding) in religion."**
[Its chain of narration is *hasan* (good).]
📚 *Sunan al-Tirmidhi* 📚

💡 Sheikh Ahmad Shakir (d. 1377 AH), may Allah have mercy on him, commented on this narration in *Jami' al-Tirmidhi* (2/357):
("Yes, so that they may know what to take and what to leave,
and so that they may know the lawful (halal) and the unlawful (haram), and do not corrupt people's buying and selling with falsehoods and lies,
and so that they do not introduce interest (riba) to them through avenues that the buyer may not recognize.
In summary: So that trade may be a correct and pure Islamic trade,
one that Muslims and non-Muslims can trust, free from deceit and fraud.")
